The Echo Super - Tecnam UK Ltd
The P92-JS and Echo-Super represent the latest development of the Tecnam JAR-VLA certificated Model P92-J, resulting from on-going improvements and the experience gathered from over 1000 type sold and prolonged use over many years operating in a wide variety of conditions.

The P92-JS and Echo Super are two-seater side by side, single strut braced, high wing aircraft.
The plane's outstanding performance and flyingqualities together with low operating costs, easy piloting and maintenance, make this aircraft an excellent solution for flying-schools and training activity,as well as for many other roles such as touring, territory surveillance, patrol, etc.
Long experience in this field has enabled us to perfect a simple and light structure, easy to inspect and repair, by using many original design features, manufacturing methods and tooling.
- The wing structures consist of a single spar metal torsion box with easily detachable leading edge of conventional metal structures.

- Integral fuel tanks (2x35 Lt. or optional 2x45 Lt.). are located in the wing leading edges some distance outboard from the cabin.
- Tapering of the leading edge at the wing roots improves visibility, especially in a steep turn.
- A rear windows completes the 360° vision.
- The cabin, which features extra-large doors, is 45” wide. This, combined with all surrounding windows, makes the airplane seem very roomy.
- A large luggage area is located behind the seats.
- The dual control sticks come up forward, between pilots legs, in the conventional manner.
- The dual rudder pedals, of conventional type, also control the nose wheel steering.
- The all-moving tailplane provides remarkable longitudinal hands-off stability and control power with the minimum drag and weight penalty.
- A wide control electric trim-tab provides the anti-tab function.

- The fin has a cantilever structure of light alloy, except for the GRP tip. Fin and rudder have light alloy skins.
- The wide slotted flaps, electrically driven, allow stall speed under 38 Kts for the P92-JS and the Echo Super.
- A push-button switch, on the stick grip, controls the pitch trim (optional on the Echo Super). The position indicator is on the instrument panel.
- With flaps deployed, a steep approach is possible: a very short flare and roll out will result.
- The ailerons, are very effective, allowing an aggressive roll rate.
- The flaps and ailerons are made of light alloy structure.
- The wide instrument panel is designed to accommodate standard and optional instrument configuration up to full IFR (the photo shows basic VFR on Echo-Super)
- The rapid camlok buckles securing the cowling allow complete and easy access to the engine and equipment.

- The engine is set low and the cowling slopes down from the windshield, so forward visibility is excellent.
- The engine is connected to airframe through the Cr-Mo steel-tube engine mount and by the vibration isolating suspension. The firewall is soundproofed.
- One 73 kW (100 hp) Rotax 912S four-cylinder four-stroke liquid/air cooled engine with integrated reduction gear (1:2.4286) drives a two-blade wooden GT propeller of 173cm dia x 155cm pitch.
- Independent fuel valves are located on each side of the cockpit. The gascolator is installed on the firewall in the engine compartment. A back-up electrical pump is fitted.
- Engine is equipped with a 21A 14V generator, and 18 Ah battery. All the circuits are fuse protected.
- The steel leaf main gear legs provide excellent shock absorption, are trouble free and require no maintenance.
- The levered suspension nose gear with rubber shock absorber has been designed to resist to high impact loading in basic training use.
- Wheels and hydraulic disc brakes are of standards aircraft type (5.00x5)
- The brake lever control is located forward between the seats. An hydraulic valve provides the parking brake control.
